These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the FixmyFridge.co.uk service and website.
By visiting the FixmyFridge.co.uk website you accept, and agree to, the content of these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check regularly before ordering. Fixmyfridge.co.uk is a division of Penguin Refrigeration Limited. Spare parts supplied online will be supplied through the main penguin Refrigeration website and will be subject to the terms and conditions detailed on that website. This does not affect your statutory rights.
 
Reviews & Comments
We permit you to leave reviews, comments and support requests on our website. We reserve the right to remove, reject or edit any comments placed on our website at any time. When submitting information to our website as a review, product question or customer comment you understand that what you have submitted is not copyright protected and you are permitting its appearance on the FixmyFridge.co.uk website.
 
Liability
We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims.
We will do our best to get all orders and repairs completed and despatched as quickly as possible. We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered or repairs carried out. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time and get a refund prior to the item being despatched.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
 
Terms of Contract for Fridge Repairs
When you place a request for a back to base repair on our website (www.FixmyFridge.co.uk) we will contact you by email to confirm the cost of collection.
Once the cost is agreed and your payment received we will collect your fridge or freezer from you.
It will be your responsibility to ensure that your fridge is properly packaged for the carrier to deliver to us. FixmyFridge.co.uk use couriers that we know take good care of our fragile products, but we take no responsibility or liability for damage to your property by the courier when we collect or deliver. It is your responsibility to ensure your fridge or freezer is sufficiently well packaged to avoid damage.
Once the unit is returned to our workshop we will diagnose your fault and provide you with a written quote (via email) to confirm the problem and the cost to rectify (The quote will consist of: parts, labour and return carriage).
On approval of this quote we will carry out the necessary work to repair your fridge or freezer and at this time we enter into a contract with you.
 
Collection and Delivery
For collection, it will be your responsibility to ensure that your fridge is properly packaged for the carrier to deliver to us. FixmyFridge.co.uk use couriers that we know take good care of our fragile products, but we take no responsibility or liability for damage to your property by the courier when we collect or deliver.
On delivery back to you we will ensure that the unit is correctly boxed and packaged to avoid damage. In the unlikely event that on receipt there is evidence of damage please ensure that you notify the carrier immediately and do not sign for the package. If the Buyer fails to comply with this clause, the goods shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract and the Buyer shall be bound to accept and pay for the same at the time or times specified.
 
Terms of Contract for the Purchase of Spare Parts Online
All spare parts are sold through our main Penguin Refrigeration website and are subject to the terms and conditions detailed on that site.
 
Accuracy of Information, Product Specifications & Suitability of Parts
Published information on fault diagnosis and self help, specific product details, specifications and product suitability information is provided to the best of our knowledge at the time. FixmyFridge.co.uk shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any diagnosis or recommendation of part/s required for the repair of an appliance through this site. If you have ordered an item, through our main company, Penguin Refrigeration Limited, website, which turns out to be unsuitable for the application intended we will refund you in full upon the return of the item. Please see our Returns & Refunds below for details.
Manufacturers’ names are used for reference only. Products listed as a genuine part are made by the manufacturer and generic parts are listed as compatible with the manufacturer's listed.
We encourage you to ensure all spare parts are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications. FixmyFridge.co.uk cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the fitting of a spare part.
Please ensure that you have read your warranty conditions before attempting to install a part or otherwise repair your fridge or freezer. FixmyFridge.co.uk cannot be held responsible if the appliance is damaged or your warranty is voided. Some manufacturer’s guarantees may be on condition that you use a qualified technician.
 
Availability / Estimated Delivery Times
Fridge and freezer repairs are normally completed within 7-10 days but can take longer in peak periods. We will confirm the estimated return date with the quote for repair and keep you informed via email if this date becomes unachievable for any unforeseen reason.
While we will do our best to get all repairs out as quickly as possible, if a delay has occurred and your fridge/freezer repair cannot be completed within the original estimate FixmyFridge.co.uk has no liability to you for the delay. You have the right to cancel delayed repairs at any time prior to the work being started and at that point will only be charged for the cost of returning the fridge/freezer to you.
 
Payment
We will contact you to confirm payment prior to collection of your fridge/freezer for repair. Payment can be made using Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch or Solo cards through our sales telephone line. Alternatively you can pay by cheque, postal order or bank transfer. Please note that if you choose to pay by either of these methods your fridge/freezer will not be collected or returned, once repaired, to you until the funds have been cleared.
Once collection has been confirmed the cost is non refundable.
Further, it is your responsibility to make sure the product is available for collection and packaged correctly. If the courier cannot collect the package and has to arrange an additional visit to do so, the excess charges will be paid by you.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling excluding VAT.
 
Warranties
Subject to the conditions set out below FixmyFridge.co.uk warrants that the Goods or repairs carried out will correspond substantially with their specification at the time of delivery and will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 3 months from delivery.
The above warranty is given by FixmyFridge.co.uk subject to the following conditions:
i. The part is returned to FixmyFridge.co.uk at the buyers cost
ii. FixmyFridge.co.uk shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions.
iii. FixmyFridge.co.uk shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from failure to follow FixmyFridge.co.uk’s instructions (whether oral or in writing and it is a condition of the warranty that the Customer must notify FixmyFridge.co.uk immediately if written instructions are not received), or misuse or alteration or repair of the Goods without FixmyFridge.co.uk’s approval.
iv. FixmyFridge.co.uk shall be under no liability under the above warranty (or any other warranty, condition or guarantee) if the total price for the Goods has not been paid by the due date for payment.
v. The above warranty does not extend to parts, materials or equipment not supplied by FixmyFridge.co.uk.
 
Privacy & Disclaimer
We will never sell or pass on your name and address to any other organisation without your consent. Your details are confidential and you will never receive unsolicited mail as a result of ordering from FixmyFridge.co.uk.
FixmyFridge.co.uk maintains a strict privacy policy in full accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the full details of which are available to download from our website.
We expect you to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password for your FixmyFridge.co.uk online account.
